Sounds perfect (as any 32 year old Tercel could hope to be) now. It’s now idling right at 1000 when warm. I’m going out for some spirited driving (and walk the doggo) to see if the problem doesn’t come right back like it has the last few times.

God I love this stupid car.

I think it was 850, it’s been a while since I tried to tune a 3A. But it doesn’t matter. This is a bandaid so I can get around in the short term. Lot of shit under that hood is going bye-bye. It just simply refused to idle starting 2 weeks ago.

I learned about carbs on my 80s 22r pickups. Once I took one Toyota carb a part and put it back together, things got a lot clearer.

It was on my dad’s 87 chevy truck (currently in primer and fenderless) so it lives on in the jeep for security reasons. Also I street park it so its needed.
